Preheat the oven to 375°F
Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon pieces for 2-3 minutes on each side until the fat is rendered, but the bacon is not fully crisp
Set aside the bacon and add the green peppers and onions to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes
Add the remaining ingredients along with the baked beans to the skillet
Place the bacon pieces on top of the baked beans
Cook uncovered for 1 hour and 30 minutes until the mixture thickens
