Ingredients

  • 1 pound Farmland Original Pork Sausage Roll1 pound
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil1 tablespoon
  • 1 Yellow onion, peeled and diced1
  • 1 Red bell pepper, diced1
  • 1/2 cup Sugar snap peas1/2 cup
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms, sliced8 ounces
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced3
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed1/2 cup
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce1/2 cup
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated1 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly cracked1/2 teaspoon
  • 1/2 cup Green onions, sliced, for garnish1/2 cup
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
  • 1/4 cup Water1/4 cup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions


  1. Cook the Farmland Original Pork Sausage Roll in a large skillet over medium-high heat, until cooked through and no longer pink. Empty cooked sausage to a plate and set aside.

  2. Drain grease from the skillet and add olive oil

  3. Add onions, bell peppers, snap peas, and mushrooms. Sauté for 4-5 minutes or until tender. Add minced garlic to the pan and continue to cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant

  4. Add cooked ground sausage back into the skillet with vegetable mixture

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Pour mixture over ground sausage and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  6. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with water and stir until smooth. Add the mixture to skillet and stir for 2 minutes, until sauce thickens

  7. Garnish with sliced green onion and crushed red pepper flakes. Serve over cooked rice
