12 ounces Farmland Premium Center Cut Applewood Smoked Thick Cut Bacon
 
1 cup Yellow Onion, Diced
 
2 cups Fuji Apples, Peeled & Diced
 
2 tablespoons Fresh Sage, Minced
 
4 Eggs
 
1 1/3 cups Half and Half
 
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
 
1 Unbaked Pie Crust

Directions
1Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat and render the bacon until crispy.
3Remove the bacon from the pan to drain on paper towels, saving the fat for another use.
4In the same pan, sauté the onions, apples, and sage until tender. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
5While the bacon mixture is cooling, press the pie crust into a pie dish and bake for about 10 minutes, or until just golden brown.
6Drop the oven temperature to 325ºF.
7Whisk together the eggs, half and half, and cheese.
8Spread the bacon mixture evenly over the bottom of the par-baked pie shell.
9Pour the egg mixture over the top and bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
10Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
