Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
Heat a heavy-bottomed sauté pan over medium heat and render the bacon until crispy.
Drain the bacon on paper towels, reserving the fat for a later use.
In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the baking mix, baking powder, and garlic powder.
In a separate bowl, combine the bacon, milk, cheese, and scallions.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir gently to combine, just until a sticky dough is formed, taking care to not overmix.
Using a small ice cream scoop, scoop the dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each of the biscuits.
Bake until golden brown, remove from the oven, and brush with the melted butter.
Serve warm.
